PROJECT MANAGEMENT – PROJECT PREPARATION  USING THE LOGICAL FRAMEWORK APPROACH

In 2005 CVNO issued publication called “Project Management – Project Preparation by Using the Logical Framework Approach". Three authors as follows contributed to origin of this publication: Danica Hullová, Pavol Košťan and Tomáš Findra. This manual serves as methodological handbook for those who are preparing or planning to participate in projects preparation for EU funds as well as projects for use of other financial tools.
The publication is available at CVNO´s and in some cases it is given to participants of our trainings. Nowadays, first 1000 printouts have been sold out and we are preparing a new edition.

HANDBOOK “HOW TO PREPARE A PROJECT”

This publication originated in 2006 in the framework of the project called “Projects for Regions” co-financed by European Social Fund where CVNO provided managers of self-governments from 5 higher territorial units with complex consulting services. Totally, more than 300 managers participated in this project. Thanks to this experience we collected many inputs that served as a base for creation of this practical handbook. Thus, besides theoretical chapters readers can find there also chapters dealing with the most frequent problems that participants faced at single project stages.

EUROPEAN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

In the period of 2005-2007 CVNO cooperated on an international project that was aiming at bringing a new and complex view on project management in the context of projects financed from EU funds.
Along with our partners we elaborated a complex manual for training of managers who want to improve their knowledge and abilities in the area of creation and management of projects financed from EU programmes. The manual includes also a methodological package for trainers.

A SERIES OF MANUALS AND STUDIES RELATED TO CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION IN THE AREA OF ADULT EDUCATION
In 2006 we finalized 5-year cooperation with more than ten EU countries during which we were mapping cross-border cooperation in the area of adult education. In the framework of this cooperation we as a partner participated in implementation of three big international projects whose main output are publications as follows:
“Education across Borders”
Study of historical development of cross-border cooperation focused on the area of adult education. The publication deals with ten cross-border regions of Europe including the region of Slovakia – Hungary.
“Crossing Borders”
This publication brings practical examples and recommendations for management of institutions dealing with adult education in border regions. The examples of cross-border cooperation are presented in the form of case studies.
